I think the current SL, especially in AMG guise, looks good.

I think it looks good from the angle you posted, but I feel like the rear overhang is way too long. Probably because of the folding roof...

Saw one in person this week in black. Holy shit, very impressive.

I agree with you

I disagree. Its fussy and has awkward lines, its like they didn’t have a clear direction when designing it.

It is okay.

I've alctuallu loved these cars thought they were really slick in that style

It’s fine except the headlights piss me off. They need to flow with the shape of the grille better. It’s like the headlights and grille are fighting. The AMG GT has the same problem.

This is all I’ve ever been able to see in the SL.

I agree with you. I think they need to do a little reworking of the rear end, but it’s not enough to make me think the car as a whole is ugly.

The problem is the SL was facelifted around the same time the design language for the AMG GT (also the S, E and new C) was being implemented so it has the newer lights but similar old gen bottom fascia.
The CLS ran into this when it had it’s facelift before the most recent face lift.

It looks fantastic on the road. Saw an AMG in matte grey with the top down cruisin on the highway and thought it looked excellent.
